Deleting an Affiliate
This guide explains how to permanently delete an affiliate from your program.
Important Warning: This Action is Permanent
Please be aware that deleting an affiliate is an irreversible action. Before proceeding, understand the following consequences:
Data Deletion: The affiliate's profile, performance statistics (clicks, referrals), and commission history within the Simple Affiliate app will be permanently deleted.
Link & Code Deactivation: All of the affiliate's referral links and associated discount codes will immediately stop working and will no longer track new sales.
Pending Commissions: This action does not automatically pay out any pending commissions. We strongly recommend that you settle any outstanding payments before deleting an affiliate, as their payment records will be removed.
Shopify Customer Account: Deleting an affiliate from Simple Affiliate does not delete their underlying customer account in your Shopify store.
How to Delete an Affiliate
Navigate to the Affiliates Section. From your main merchant dashboard, go to the "Affiliates" section.
Locate and Select the Affiliate(s). Find the affiliate(s) you wish to permanently delete. You can use the search bar to find them by name or use the filter options to narrow down the list. Use the checkbox next to each affiliate's name to select one or more affiliates.
Initiate the Deletion. Once you have selected at least one affiliate, a "Delete" button will appear above the affiliate list. Click this button.
Confirm the Deletion. A confirmation window will appear to prevent accidental deletion. To finalize the process, click the "Delete" button again.
The selected affiliate(s) will now be permanently removed from your affiliate program.
Re-adding a Deleted Affiliate
If you delete an affiliate by mistake and need to reinstate them, you must add them back to the program as if they were a new affiliate. Their previous performance history and referral data will not be restored.
