Enabling App Embeds for Your Theme
If your installation is incomplete, you will see an alert with a step-by-step guide and direct links to your Shopify Theme Editor. Follow these steps to clear the error and activate your dashboard.
Step-by-Step Activation
Access Theme Settings: In the error message on your dashboard, locate Step 1 and click the "theme settings" link.
Enable the Embed: Clicking this link will automatically open your Shopify Theme Editor in a new tab, navigate to the App Embeds section, and toggle the "Simple Affiliate" extension to On.
Save Your Changes: This is a critical step: once the toggle is enabled, you must click the "Save" button in the top-right corner of the Shopify Theme Editor for the changes to take effect.
Verify the Installation: Navigate back to the Simple Affiliate app and click the "Verify Installation": button within the error message. The system will perform a quick check; if successful, the error message will disappear.
Important Rules to Remember
Theme Specificity: App Embeds are tied to your current theme. If you switch to a new theme or a trial version, you will need to repeat these steps to ensure the affiliate dashboard remains visible to your partners.
Permissions: You must have "Themes" permissions within your Shopify Staff account to access the Theme Editor and save these changes.
Dashboard Visibility: Your affiliates will not be able to see the login or registration pages on your storefront until this step is completed and verified.

Once the installation is verified, your Affiliate Dashboard is officially "Live" on your storefront. You can now visit yourstore.com/pages/affiliate to see exactly what your partners will see when they log in.
