FAQ: How to Find and Customize Your Affiliate Dashboard URL?

Find and customize the URL used by your partners to access your signup form and affiliate dashboard, or prevent search engines from listing it.

Locating Your Affiliate Dashboard & Signup Link

Your program uses a dedicated storefront link where prospective partners apply and existing affiliates log in to view their performance. You can view, copy, customize, or hide this URL directly from your merchant settings.

How to Locate Your URL

  1. From your merchant dashboard, navigate to Settings > Signup.

  2. Look for the Affiliate Dashboard URL section at the top of the page.

  3. Click the copy icon to copy the full link to your clipboard, or click the eye icon to view the live page on your storefront.

How to Customize the URL Handle

You can change where your program lives on your storefront by editing the URL handle (the ending path of the link):

  1. Click into the handle field inside the Affiliate Dashboard URL box.

  2. Edit the text to your preferred path (e.g., changing /pages/affiliate to /pages/partners or /pages/ambassadors).

  3. Click Save in the top bar to apply your changes.

How to Prevent Search Engine Indexing

If you run a private or exclusive program and do not want your application page appearing in public search results like Google:

  1. Locate the Prevent search engine indexing toggle directly below the URL field.

  2. Toggle the switch to active.

  3. Click Save. This automatically adds a noindex tag to your page so search engines will not index or list it in search results.

Important Rules to Remember

  • One Link for Everyone: This URL is dynamic. If a user is logged in and already an affiliate, they will see their performance data. If they are not yet an affiliate, the link automatically becomes their Signup Form.

  • Test Before Sharing: Always use the "View Page" button to ensure your branding, form fields, and translation messages look professional before sending the link to influencers.

  • Embed Status: If the URL takes you to a "Page Not Found" or a blank page, confirm the app extension has been added to your Shopify Theme settings.

  • Allowed Characters: URL handles support lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Spaces and special characters are not permitted.

  • Shared Destination: This single URL hosts both your public signup form for new applicants and the login entry point for your Affiliate Dashboard.

  • Navigation Links: If you change your URL handle, remember to update any manual navigation or footer links on your Shopify theme to ensure they point to your new address.

What Happens Next?

Now that you have your link, the next step is to make it permanent. Most successful merchants add this URL to their Shopify Navigation Menu (usually in the footer) so that potential partners can find it organically while browsing the store.
