How Collection-Specific Commissions Work
Every affiliate group has a default percentage commission. Collection-specific commissions override that default for every product in the Shopify collections you add, so a whole category can pay more or less without listing each product.
If a product belongs to more than one collection with an override, Simple Affiliate uses the highest collection rate. A variant-specific override still wins over collection rates.
Availability: This feature is exclusive to the Pro plan and above. The group must use Percentage commission. Fixed-amount (flat rate) groups cannot set product or collection overrides.

How to Set Collection-Specific Commissions
Open the group. In Simple Affiliate, go to Groups and open the group you want to edit. Select the Commission tab.
Open product and collection commissions. Scroll to Product and collection specific commission and click Set product and collection commissions. Save the group first if the button is disabled.
Add collections. In Collection-specific priority rules, click Add collections. The Shopify picker opens.
Choose collections. Search collections by name. Check the collections to include, then click Select.
Enter the rates. Each row shows the collection title and ID. Type a percentage in Commission. If the group has first-time customer commission enabled, a second column appears for that rate. Empty fields keep the group default, shown as the field placeholder.
Save. Click Save in the unsaved-changes bar. You must save or discard before adding or removing more collections.
Filter Collections You Already Added
After collections are on the list, use Filter by collection title or ID to find a row.
Bulk Edit or Remove Collections
Select rows. Check the collections you want to change. The header shows how many are selected.
Edit commission in bulk. Use Bulk Edit Collection Commission to set the same percentage on every selected collection. If first-time customer commission is enabled, Bulk Edit New Customer Commission sets that column the same way.
Remove collections. Click Remove [N] collections, then confirm. This deletes the overrides. Products in those collections go back to the group default, unless a variant override still applies.
Save after bulk edits. Remove is disabled while rates are unsaved; save or discard first, then remove.
Important Rules to Remember
Percentage only: Product and collection overrides are not available when the group uses a fixed amount per order.
Highest collection rate: If a product belongs to more than one collection you added, the highest collection commission is applied.
Variant still wins: A variant-specific override replaces both the group default and collection-specific commission.
Blank means default: An empty rate field uses the group's default percentage for that column.
Save before add or remove: The Add collection and remove actions stay disabled while the page has unsaved rate changes.
⚠️ Future referrals only: New rates apply to referrals created after you save. Existing referrals keep the rates captured when they were created.
What Happens Next?
Affiliates in the group earn the collection rate on products in those collections, unless a variant override is set. Review the next few orders on the Sales report to confirm the rates.
